FAQ
-
This depends on how much cover you need. We can cover up to £50,000 worth of belongings and the cost to you is dependent on how much your items are worth.
-
Yes. We’re members of the Self Storage Association, so all customers must have cover in place against loss or damage. You’re welcome to arrange your own, or take out cover with us, but valid protection is required for the full duration of your storage.
-
In the unlikely event that your items are damaged or lost, please speak to a team member in the first instance and they will support you throughout your claim.
-
All the cover we offer is new for old, so you need to total the value of the replacement of the full contents of the unit with new items, not how much it is worth as a used item.
-
If you undervalue your items, any claim will be paid proportionally. For example, if your belongings are worth £10,000 but you only insure them for £5,000, you would only receive £2,500 -half the loss - because your coverage was only half the total value. That’s why it’s important to insure the full value of your unit.
